(1) Makeup
FACE: Latest routine is just wearing
concealers as a foundation.
Under my eyes, around my nose,
blend out with a brush.
Many brands have released new concealers in the last 1-2 years, so I recommend browsing all of them!!!
Dior Forever Skin Correct Concealer
I had an older/different version of this, but recently tossed because it was too old. I thought the Dior concealers were insanely high quality... When I put it on, I thought "This is magic..." !
Creamy formula, had also been my go-to! Unfortunately the cap broke, so I threw it out. I would totally buy more if didn't already have like 3-4 other new concealers in my stash waiting to be used...
Other concealers I want to try:
FOUNDATIONS... classic one is Dior!
Recommend any of Dior's, this is my current one:
Dior Backstage Face & Body Foundation
I ALWAYS have this on hand:
LASH GROWTH
Controversial product...
Some people do not like that lash products containing PG (prostaglandin) analog.
This ingredient was/is originally found in glaucoma medicine - and a physical side effect is LASH GROWTH. So companies like Latisse started selling this product. But many cosmetic companies aren't FDA approved so there's a risk to using products with this ingredient.
More info about the risks/negatives here...
Negative side effects reported by some include: losing fat around the eyes, more sunken/wrinkly skin around the eyes, dry eyes and thinner eyelids ...
Some Tiktoks went viral on this last couple of years...
IF YOU DON'T CARE...
I saw incredible results.
I used it every other day and
once my lashes got long, I used 1x / week.
BUT IF YOU ***DO*** CARE...
The Ordinary Lash and Brow Serum
Try this Ordinary one - doesn't include the controversial ingredient. Much cheaper. Online people are saying they're seeing good results. I use this regularly too.
Eye Products
THE BEST. Oldie but goodie.
So good when you’re lazy.
Liner and shadow in one.
GREAT staying power - won’t budge, once it’s on.
Many imitations, can’t compare!!!
MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Resist Color Pencil Eyeliner
Also another LONG time fave since I was in college - I basically always have a Black and Brown pencil of these on hand - always.
MANY incredible new blushes out on the market...
Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush
VERY POPULAR. Incredibly pigmented. 1 dot is enough.
Buff it out with a sponge or a brush or fingers.
This Fenty one is a few years old
but I only finally tried this one recently.
Can use a brush or fingers to apply.
MILK MAKEUP Lip + Cheek Cream Blush Stick
This was one of the originals on the market!
I STILL love using this. Deposits just the right amount of color.
Very popular brand among my friends!
The lip oils and the foundation stick are supposed to be great!
I'm definitely trying this soon...
(2) Skincare
Very popular, very gentle and very effective... a must-have for my sad nose lol
My skin loves ceramides!
LANEIGE Cream Skin Milk Oil Cleanser / Toner/Moisturizer vs
LAST YEAR, I got really into gentle, low pH facial cleansers. Switching to gentler facial cleansers has worked well for my skin. From Sephora, I like this one in the AM. And I'll use more exfoliating/stronger face washes at night. I ran out of this specific cleanser but started using the same line's very gentle moisturizing toner.
Innisfree Fermented Soybean Essence
Ran out of this awhile ago - but did enjoy this as a step 2 hydrating essence. I like the gel-y texture.
Kate Somerville DeliKate™ Recovery Serum
This is one of those MAGIC serums........
I will repurchase this when I run out, despite it being $$$$. Great for after-sun exposure. Or just when your skin feels wrecked. I definitely saw a difference just in 1 night, the next morning.
Youth To The People Superberry Hydrate + Glow Dream Mask
This stuff is MAGIC.
I only had the mini, and it lasted me long time.
Basically, when I put this on at night,
the next morning my skin is amaaaaaaaaazing!!!
And I want to try . . .
Anything by RANAVAT - like
(3) Hair
This year, I tried really hard to go blonder...
With all the bleaching and balayage,
needed serious hair repair.
K18 Molecular Repair Hair Mask
THIS STUFF IS EPIC. Hands down needed for bleached/colored hair. Olaplex who?
And I tried switched to fancier hair care.
Love this gentle hydrating Verb Shampoo.
(4) Fragrance
In addition to all the Classic brands that you know (the Armani, the Gucci etc.)... Sephora also launches and carries tons of interesting unique NICHE Fragrance brands!!
And did you know you can get Discovery Kits from many brands? It's usually around $20-35 and have multiple fragrance samples - so you can find your signature scent.
Here are some interesting ones to check out...
